§ 03 · Why BiteDeck for CAVA tracking
CAVA is the Mediterranean answer to build-your-own, and the macros swing hard on what you add — a RightRice base with harissa, braised lamb, and tahini Caesar is a different meal from a greens base with falafel and tzatziki. BiteDeck pulls every base, protein, dip, topping, and dressing into a multi-add menu so your bowl logs the way you built it.
Each component is its own row with CAVA's published per-serving nutrition, so you can see what the dips and dressings actually cost — usually where the calories hide in a 'healthy' bowl.
On-device, no account. Your CAVA order never touches a BiteDeck server, and the macros write to Apple Health if you have writes enabled.
Like every chain in BiteDeck, CAVA logs the same way: a confirmed meal writes straight to Apple Health per your toggles, and the whole menu ships on-device, with no account.
